The head attire of a duke, consisting of a circlet of chased gold, with eight strawberry leaves on its upper edge, a cap of crimson velvet, terminating at the top with a gold tassel. It is commonly used as a charge upon the necks of birds and beasts and blazoned ducally gorged. The Crest coronet is sometimes confused with the ducal coronet.
