Tiufiakin (Tufiakin, Toufiakine, Tioufiakine, Tjuffjakin): ТЮфЯКИН
This family is descended from the Princes of Chernigov. The son of the Great Prince of Russia Viadimir Sviatosiavich, the Christianizer of Russia, the Great Prince Yarosiav Vladimirovich, piaced his son, the Great Prince Sviatoslav Yaroslavich, on the Throne of Chernigov, and from him are descended the Princes of Chernigov. The Great Prince Mikhail Vsevolodovich of Chernigov, great-grandson of the aforementioned Great Prince Sviatoslav Yaroslavich, had a fifth son named Prince Yury called Torusky and Obolenskoy. He had a third son, Prince Konstantin Yurievich Obolenskoy. Prince Konstantin had a great-great-grandson named Prince Vasili Borisovich Tiufiak, whose descendants, the Princes Tiufiakin, served the Russian Throne as Stoiniks and in other distinguished positions and were granted fiefdoms by the Tsars.

1.1.1. Prince Pyotr Ivanovich (1769-19.2.1845 Paris) Hereditary Commander, he was made Master of the Court 22 June 1816, decorated with St Vladimir 2nd class and on 6 April 1819, named Director General of the Theatres; emigrated abroad, where he passed the rest of his life. In 1841, he was stripped of his functions of all his dignities including that of Commander of the Order of Malta. m. Ekaterina Osipovna Khorvat (1777-6.3.1802)
The line became extinct with the death of the only Hereditary Commander in 1845.
